About Us
Since 1990, we’ve been developing programs that help volunteers contribute to the aged care community and most importantly, help put a smile on an older person’s face. Living in aged care can be lonelier than most people realise. Imagine if you could no longer drive to visit family…if you didn’t have friends to pop in for a cuppa. Life would be very lonely.
With QCCN, our range of programs aim to eliminate older people feeling secluded while in residential care, or that enable them to stay in their own home longer. To do this, we connect volunteers with older people so they can develop long lasting, meaningful friendships.

The Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme
Funded by the Australian Government
(Formally known as Community Visitors Scheme) – we introduce volunteers to people in residential care. The volunteer can donate as little as one hour a fortnight to visiting an aged care facility to simply sit and chat with an older person.
- The 100+ Club – a fun and inclusive club for people 100 years-old or older. The club hosts events and is a great way for centenarians to connect and socialise together. The club relies completely on donations so to help us keep it going, we’d welcome any donations or help from people who can assist with fundraising. Mother’s Day Alliance – The program aims to collect gift-styled hampers, donated by people of the general public, to be distributed to mothers and families who are in need of support on Mother’s Day. https://www.facebook.com/MothersDayAlliance/

Our Mission Statement
Our mission is to develop and provide a range of community based support to individuals and their carers – giving them a variety of options to enhance their quality of life. Our programs enable integration, promote independence, are innovative and flexible.
